The winter of 2015-16 will go down in skiers’ and snowboarders’ memories as a great one, especially late in the season. But it is winding do, so here are some hard-to-beat spring deals:
- Eldora Mountain Resort. Just 21 miles west of Boulder and accessible by RTD bus as well private car, this casual ski area is scheduled to operate through Sunday, April 10. That means two more weekends of lift service, plus the awesomely uncrowded weekdays between. A 2016-17 season pass is valid for the rest of the season and all of next. - Winter Park and Steamboat. The Double Dip pass is good for unlimited skiing at both of these giant areas from April 1 to closing. Steamboat’s closing date is April 10, but Winter Park has extended its season until May 7 (Mary Jane sector), adding value to the $199 pass — one of the best around. - Ski Cooper. Here’s a sensational one-day deal for a worthy cause. Bring one item for the local foodbank and ski all day for just $5 on Foodbank Friday, April 1. Be generous, and bring more than one item for this good cause.
- Arapahoe Basin. At this spring skiing Mecca operating through June 5, the Elevation 3 Pass is a deal. Three days of skiing/riding cost $149 for ages 15 and older and $99 for ages 6 to 14. Additional days are $59 and $28 respectively. Click here to purchase.
