CANCELLED! Well this stinks. A few minutes after we sent out our newsletter, Gas Buddy contacted us to say their Tank Takeover in Denver was off. No explanation, only that they are “updating their website.” So sorry, MHOTC readers as they listed Denver on their site as of late last night. Granted you have to download an app to your smartphone to get this deal, but, for many, it may be worth it. That’s why we are giving you a heads-up in advance. GasBuddy, a website (we even use their Cheap Gas feed on MHOTC) that lists the lowest gas prices in specific cities, is giving away thousands of gallons of FREE gasoline during the 2017 Tank Takeover Series. When we first checked the website, Denver was on the list for Tuesday, April 4. (However, now the site says TBA, so we’re unsure if they are trying to be cagey or flexible.) GasBuddy and Corner Store will fill the tanks of drivers who have the FREE GasBuddy app downloaded and a GasBuddy profile created, with upwards of $20 worth of FREE fuel per vehicle, while supplies last. There will also be special drink coupons, food and giveaways. The only way to learn the location of the freebie and fuel up is to download the app here and create a profile.
