In anticipation of the 2020 presidential election, All In: The Fight For Democracy examines the often overlooked, yet insidious issue of voter suppression in the United States. The documentary film interweaves personal experiences with current activism and historical insight to expose a problem that has corrupted our democracy from the very beginning.
With the perspective and expertise of Stacey Abrams, the former Minority Leader of the Georgia House of Representatives, the documentary offers an insider’s look into laws and barriers to voting that most people don’t even know are threats to their basic rights as citizens of the United States.

All In is a riveting examination of voter suppression in the United States. The film lays out the sweeping argument that from our nation’s beginning, laws were designed to suppress certain segments of the population.
It weaves together personal experiences with current activism and historical insight to tell the story of voting in the U.S. and how the process has been corrupted. The filmmakers interviewed subjects from both sides of the political spectrum to showcase that voting is not a partisan issue but a basic human rights issue.
All In explores fundamental questions: who gets to participate in our democracy, who is pushed aside, and how can we all fight back?
Over the years, many types of unjust practices have been used to intimidate and suppress voters from making their voices heard at the polls. Tactics include: literacy tests, poll taxes, property requirements, gerrymandering, purging, voter ID laws, exact match laws, and a permanent ban on voting for those who have been convicted of a crime.
The right to vote remains a critical issue today. Calls to end mail-in voting and false allegations of widespread voter fraud are being used to control who can and cannot vote.
Producer and film subject Stacey Abrams was a former gubernatorial candidate for the state of Georgia during a contentious and hotly contested race in 2018. Abrams lost the election, despite overwhelming evidence of voter suppression.
The loss prompted her to start Fair Fight Action, an initiative aimed at promoting fair elections at all levels, raising awareness of election reform, and encouraging voter participation throughout the country.

After viewing the trailer for this film, it appears to be simply a propaganda film rather than a balanced documentary. It appears to only tell one side of the story.
I wonder if the ‘film’ mentions the 2008 case of voter intimidation in Philadelphia by billy-club toting Black Panthers. That scene was probably left on the cutting room floor. How convenient.
Stacey Abrams is just a sore loser.

Sad to see “Mile High on the Cheap” promote such obvious left-wing propaganda and bow down to this race-baiting garbage!
Steve — We aren’t promoting anything. This is a new documentary film that is being shown on Amazon and like any other new film, the marketing company is offering free previews. If you don’t like the subject matter or topic, as with any film, you don’t have to watch it. Many people object to films that are deemed violent or tragic or have bad language or appeal to a very narrow demographic. We are merely a vehicle to offer tickets to those who find this of interest. — Laura
