National Kids to Parks Day, on Saturday, May 21 is a countrywide initiative of the National Park Trust that encourages families to get outdoors and visit the country’s parks from grandiose National Parks to local greenspaces. Each participating community or school organizes its own program, and no place around does it with more enthusiasm than Boulder. Activities at Civic Center Park from 11 am. to 2 p.m. are provided by Children’s Museum of Denver, Play-Well TEKnologies, Mountain Flower Goat Dairy, The Wild Animal Sanctuary, Feet on the Earth, Front Range Anglers, the CU Museum of Natural History and Greenwood Wildlife Rehab. The landmark for this event, which is easily combined with the Boulder Farmers Market, is the Boulder Public Library (main library), 1001 Arapahoe Ave., Boulder.
