Calling all Spring Explorers! Celebrate the new season and bring out the outdoor adventurer that is hibernating inside every child. Boulder Parks and Recreation hosts a FREE Nature Play Drop-In program, Monday to Thursday, March 21 to 24 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. each day. Which flowers are beginning to grow? Are there buds on the bushes? What do all those ducks eat? Do they have a nest nearby? What bird songs can we hear? Kids can investigate the wonders of nature when they become underwater explorers and get up close and personal with the fascinating critters that call the creek their home. Learn how to be a track trapper and see which animals come for a drink when no one is looking. Discover hidden talent as a worm whisperer and watch as worms wriggle to the surface. Parents supply the supervision and Parks & Recreation supplies the fun. This program is for children of all ages and operates regardless of weather. Meet in the Nature Play area west of Boulder Main Library. (Go under the library, along the creek to the big, open nature play area). 1001 Arapahoe Ave., Boulder.
