Free Bike Expo at Sports Authority Field

POSTED BY
Claire

PrimalExpo-logoThe second annual Primal Colorado Bike Expo is timed to kick off the cycling and triathlon season and is poised to become the largest consumer bike show in the Rocky Mountain region. This FREE event, which has moved to Sports Authority Field at Mile High, features nearly 75 exhibitors including Feedback Sports, Guerilla Gravity, Wheat Ridge Cyclery, Carmichael Training Systems and Connor Wood Bicycles. The expo caters to cycling enthusiasts of all types and brings together all that Colorado has to offer in the cycling and outdoor industries — bike companies, frame builders, accessories, clothing, tours, rides, race teams, clubs, nutrition, coaches, advocacy groups and more.

The expo features a demo and test ride area, a kids’ zone complete with a Strider Course, Yellow Design Stunt Team, adult big wheel races, Giro d’Italia viewing party, meet-and-greet opportunities with renowned bike and tri authors, women’s specific programming, local bands, beer garden and food trucks. A hosted bike drive benefits Bikes Together and Lucky Bikes Re-Cyclery. Hours are noon to 7 p.m. on Friday, May 13 (a lucky one for cycling enthusiasts) and 9 a.m. t0 5 p.m. on Saturday, May 14. So bring a used bike in any condition, running or not (or even bike parts) that may be in your way. Parking is available in lots C and D, on the west side of the stadium, accessed from Federal Blvd. FREE bike valet parking adjacent to the Bike Expo is provided by Wish for Wheels.
