Firehouse Subs is well-known for its craveable subs and great service. And our well-tuned “cheapskate” eyes spotted a big, bright deal right in the middle of the restaurant. Each sub comes with a pickle spear and they sell lots (and lots) of subs.
Therefore, they have lots and lots of empty 5-gallon red pickle buckets (emblazoned with the Firehouse Subs logo.) Rather than just throwing ’em away, every location sells the empty pickle buckets for just $2 each — with proceeds going to the Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation. The 5-gallon container is a sturdy plastic and comes with a lid.
They’re perfect for painting, household chores, storage or car washing. If you’re really creative, they could be used as a trash can (probably for the garage or patio) or a not-so-fancy planter. The possibilities are endless. You don’t even have to purchase a sub. You can just walk right in and buy as many buckets as you want. If they’re sold out, just go back in a few days and they’re sure to have more. There are 24 locations in Colorado.
