It may not be New Orleans, but Denver still knows how to celebrate Mardi Gras. While most of the revelry is geared toward adults, Lincoln St. Station is planning a family-oriented Fat Tuesday Mardi Gras Celebration on Tuesday, February 13 from 4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
Organizers say you may know Mardi Gras for a much darker side. But that’s not what this is about… This is the TRUE meaning of Mardi Gras… Being a kid excited for the next float screaming “Throw me sumthin’ Mister!”
Bring the whole family for live jazz, authentic Cajun Food (gumbo, Jambalaya, Po’Boys, beignets), beads, mask face painting, King cake and more. Costumes are encouraged and there’s a costume contest, so dress the kids up in green, purple and gold. Admission is FREE, food and drink will be for sale. Lassiez les bons temps roullez! 776 Lincoln St., Denver.
