Mark your calendars! It’s an ocean of deals at the Spring Whale of a Used Book Sale sponsored by the Jefferson County Library Foundation. The event runs from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday, June 3 & 4 and from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday, June 5. Held in the massive exhibit hall of the Jefferson County Fairgrounds, the sale boasts more than 90,000 books, CDs, DVDs, vinyl records, puzzles, games and more.
Admission is $5 and good all-day.
Prices run from 50¢ to $2.50 on most items. As always, Sunday is “Bag Day” when $8 buys you as many items as will fit into a grocery-size bag.
Eager shoppers can beat the crowds on Friday with early admission at 8 a.m. for $10.
