Evergreen’s annual Skate the Lake event on New Year’s Eve is back. The long-standing tradition is a family-friendly, alcohol free, safe event for the community on Friday, December 31 from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Evergreen Lake. Besides tons of activities, the gathering will be capped off by a laser show over the lake. This year, it will be run by the Evergreen Park & Recreation District and tickets are on sale now.
Attendees can enjoy games such as broomball and corn hole, an obstacle course, roasting marshmallows over fire pits, a DJ spinning tunes, a family movie inside a heated tent, food trucks and ice skating (weather permitting).
The first-ever laser show over Evergreen Lake is at 7 p.m. This is something not to be missed as the laser beams fly around to the beat of some favorite tunes.
Mother Nature has been a little late in bringing snow to Colorado, so if ice skating is not ready by December 31, no fear, as EPRD will just move many of its other events from the ice to the lawn!
Tickets are $25 per person and can be purchased here. They are limited the number sold to 1,000 tickets, so you should buy sooner rather than later.
There is no Parking at Evergreen Lake. Free shuttles will run from Stagecoach Park and Wulf Recreation Center.
