It’s that time again. The Colorado State Fair opens Friday, August 23 and ends on Labor Day, Monday, September 2 at the state fairgrounds in Pueblo. the event includes carnival rides, live entertainment and PRCA rodeo, among other things. It can be a pricey visit (admission is $12/adults; $6 children ages 5-12), if you don’t take advantage of one of their many deals and discounts. Here are some ways to save:
Kids Days: On Friday, August 23 and Friday, August 30 — All kids 12 and under get FREE admission all day.
American Heroes Day: On Sunday, August 25 — Military and First Responders receive 50% off General Admission.
Twosday: On Tuesday, August 27 — Fair admission, individual carnival rides, and the Ranch Rodeo are just $2 each.
One-Price Wednesday: On Wednesday, August 28 — EVERYONE pays just $12 for gate admission and receives FREE carnival rides all day and a FREE all-you-can-ride carnival band.
Back-To-School Day: On Thursday, August 29 — All students state-wide get FREE admission and a carnival ride band for $15.
Colorado Lottery Day: On Sunday, September 1 — Present a non-winning lottery ticket at any paid gate (Gates 3, 5 9) and receive $2 off adult admission. Must be 18 or older.
Senior Day: Patrons 60 years of age or older receive FREE gate admission on Monday, August 26 and Monday, September 2.
