The Metropolitan Opera’s 10th season of The Met: Live in HD continues with Wagner’s Tannhäuser on Saturday, October 31 at select Denver cinemas. This series brings live performances of the world’s best operas into local movie theaters. Today’s leading Wagnerian tenor Johan Botha takes on the daunting title role, opposite soprano Eva-Maria Westbroek as Elisabeth. Baritone Peter Mattei sings Wolfram, and mezzo-soprano Michelle DeYoung is the love goddess, Venus. Plus, go behind the scenes with Met opera stars including interviews with cast, crew, and production teams for a look at what goes into the staging of an opera.
