The merchants of Aurora’s Havana Business Improvement District are partnering with Techno+Rescue to host a FREE e-cycling event on Earth Day, Saturday, April 22 from noon to 3 p.m. Techno+Rescue’s recycling trucks will be in the big parking lot at the Waterpark/Kaiser buildings at 2350 S. Havana St. (northeast corner of Havana and Parker Rd.). Recycling is FREE for computers, towers, laptops, notebooks, cell phones, office phones, pagers, flat-screen monitors, keyboards, printers, copiers, fax machines, mice, cables, cords, compact fluorescent bulbs, batteries, iPods, stereos and radios. The first CRT monitor or any type of TV is $10. (Additional CRT monitors and TVs under 36″ can be recycled at $40 each, any TV 36″+ costs $60). They will not accept old paint, tires or other hazardous materials. Volunteers will be on hand to help unload your vehicle.
