Easter may be April 9, but several churches and community groups are hosting Easter Egg Hunts the weekend prior. That means young egg seekers can participate in multiple hunts this year, honing their egg finding skills to perfection. Events are FREE unless otherwise noted and listed alphabetically. Saturday, April 1
Bass Pro Shop and Cabela’s Thornton & Lone Tree. 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. FREE professional photos with the Easter Bunny, crafts and more at all three locations.
Photos with the Easter Bunny. Get professional photos (there is a fee) of your child with the Easter Bunny at area malls — Cherry Creek Shopping Center, Colorado Mills, Town Center at Aurora, Southwest Plaza. Mississippi Avenue Baptist Church Egg Hunt, 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Food, games, fun and egg hunt. 13231 E. Mississippi Ave., Aurora.
Denver
Central Park Egg Scramble, 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Held at Runway 35 Park. Photo ops with the Easter Bunny, breakfast food trucks, sponsors booths with goodies, and, of course, an egg scramble. Scramble is broken into two different age groups. The first scramble starts at 10:15 a.m. and is for children 6 and older (parents are not allowed in the scramble area for this age group). The second scramble will begin at 10:30 a.m. and is for ages 0-5 (parents are allowed in the scramble area) . Make sure to bring your own basket to collect eggs.
Riverside Church Easter Egg Hunt, 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Held in Jefferson Park with face painting, craft table, refreshments, an egg hunt, and photos with the Easter Bunny. Free registration opens at 10 a.m. and age-graded hunts will begin at 10:30 a.m. W. 23rd Ave. & Clay St., Denver.
Englewood
Spring Festival: Hop & Shop, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Family fun in Belleview Park. Come to enjoy local vendors, crafts, games, food trucks, and more. Egg hunt at 11 a.m. sharp! The egg hunt is for ages 8 and under. The Sensory Friendly Hunt is open to all ages. 5001 S. Inca Dr., Englewood.
Glendale
Glendale Easter Eggstravaganza, 10 a.m. sharp! Egg hunt at Infinity Park Turf Field. Three age groups: 0-3, 4-6, 7-12. Only one parent allowed in egg hunt area for children under the age of 7. No parents allowed with children age 7+ in hunt area. Show up early to enjoy the activities. Parking is in P1 at NE corner of Kentucky & Cherry. 4599 E. Tennessee Ave., Glendale.

Easter Eggstravaganza at Mile High Flea Market, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Come out for fun treat bags filled with candy, face painter, balloon artist, discounted food and drink coupons, candy hunt throughout the market and music. All children receive one FREE ride ticket. Parents should bring their own cameras for FREE photos with the Easter Bunny. The Market itself opens at 7 a.m. Admission $3/adults, kids under 12 FREE. Easter Eggstravaganza at Waneka Lake Park, 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Children will have lots of fun hunting for treat-filled eggs “hidden” throughout Waneka Lake Park. After filling their baskets with up to 10 eggs, kids can take a photo with the Easter Bunny or participate in a bunny hop relay race. Registration is encouraged. 1600 Caria Dr., Lafayette.
Lakewood
Spring Festival at Foothills Park, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Easter egg hunts for all ages, food, carnival games and pictures with the Easter Bunny. Sponsored by Lakewood Church of Christ and Green Mountain Civic Assn. 12800 W. Virginia Ave., Lakewood.
Parker
