Ever wanted to kick a golf ball? That’s against the rules. But you can kick a ball down a golf course, a soccer ball that is. The Rocky Mountain Football Club hosts Drop-In FootGolf at Kennedy Golf Course every Thursday at 6 p.m. Players use the Par 3 course and the same rules as golf, just with a soccer ball. FootGolf is a precision sport, a combination of the popular sports of soccer and golf, being more closely related to golf. The rules largely correspond to the rules of golf and players kick a regulation #5 soccer ball at a golf course facility on shortened holes with 21-inch diameter cups in as few shots as possible.
You need to wear a golf (polo) shirt, soccer/golf shorts and knee high argyle socks, No cleats allowed. Wear turf or indoor soccer shoes. Cost is $12, plus $3 ball rental. Drop-ins are welcome, no reservations required. For more information, email rockymtnfg@gmail.com.
The course is at 10500 E. Hampden Ave., Denver.
