Okay, I’m sounding like a broken mix tape, but one last reminder that Denver Restaurant Week runs Friday, February 24 to Sunday, March 5. More than 250 restaurants are participating, stretching from Denver to Boulder to Sedalia and everything in between. Each offers a multi-course dinner (usually three courses) for the fixed price of $25, $35 or $45 per person, depending on restaurant, plus tax, tip and beverages. This is your chance to try out a new spot that may have been out of your price range or is new to you and your dining buds.
I had to chance to sample the menu at STK on Market St. in LoDo and can tell you that it is a winner. For $45 per person you get to choose from an array of fabulous menu items such as scallops or lamb ribs (and that’s just the appetizer), Boulder Natural Chicken (some of the juiciest I’ve ever eaten), 6 oz. filet or market fish and for dessert — a warmed baked cookie or salted caramel Budino. Many of the city’s hottest restaurants are participating, as well as many neighborhood bistros and pizzerias especially with the addition of the $25 price point. Those $25 spots are a real bargain with places such as Euclid Hall, Cherry Crest Seafood, and La Sandia (both locations) on the list. And note that “Denver” includes Boulder, Castle Rock, Sedalia and everything in between.
