This list is becoming harder to maintain and update. We will do our best, but note that you need to check any activity or venue beforehand to confirm. Many major events, as well as community facilities and even retailers, throughout Colorado are being cancelled or closed. Here at Mile High on the Cheap, we will update our posts about the events and our event calendar, just as soon as we learn about a cancellation, but there is no way to continually check the hundreds of events on our calendar.
For that reason, please check with the venue or organizer.
Within every one of our posts about events we include a link to the official website or Facebook page for the event. This is why.
Please do click on those links and check (and recheck) to see if the events are still taking place. Even if there’s no mention on the venue’s page of the event being cancelled, you might want to call them or email them to verify.
But this is important:
Just because an event is taking place, and we list it, doesn’t mean that it’s necessarily a smart idea to go. Please avoid large crowds. Keep “social distancing” in mind. Don’t panic, but be smart in your choices. Stay home if you’re sick.
If you’re well, take advantage of our wonderful parks, trails and open spaces. We need to work together to stop the spread of this disease.

We have been following all federal, state and local recommendations and closely monitoring updates through the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) related to COVID-19. At the request of the City and County of Denver and the State of Colorado, we have closed all Denver Botanic Gardens locations indefinitely.”
Please check botanicgardens.org for updates as this situation evolves.
We look forward to being able to welcome you back to the Gardens! In the meantime, we invite you to enjoy the Gardens digitally and via social media.”
