This isn’t the cheapest way to immerse yourself in the holidays, but it is a way to do it safely all in one place. From Friday, November 20 through January 3, you can head to Christmas at Gaylord Rockies for a full-day of holiday events and activities. This is the ginormous resort out by Denver International Airport. This year’s highlight is the brand-new immersive I Love Christmas Movies pop-up experience, in collaboration with Warner Bros.
The I Love Christmas Movies pop-up spans 17,000 square feet and features fully-immersive scenes from beloved holiday movies, including The Polar Express, A Christmas Story, Elf, National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation and The Year Without Santa Claus.

As guests young and young at heart navigate the exhibits, they will enjoy more than 13 interactive scenes complete with replicas of film props, audio clips and more, making participants feel as if they have stepped into part of the actual story.
Alongside I Love Christmas Movies, the resort showcases Character Dining, where guests can meet their favorite festive characters including Charlie Brown and friends, The Grinch, or Elf on the Shelf.
Take a thrilling ride down the ice or snow tubing hills. Take photos with Santa, try your hand at gingerbread decorating and an in-house Build-A-Bear Workshop. There’s also a resort-wide scavenger hunt.
With acres of airy indoor atria decorated with millions of twinkling holiday lights, towering Christmas trees and thousands of shimmering ornaments, coupled with abundant outdoor fun, visitors can look forward to a myriad of festive property-specific experiences.
- LIGHT! Experience — Inspired by the high gusts across the Mile-High City, LIGHT! is an artistic take on the wind and its effect on the landscapes of Colorado. Because Mother Nature is the designer, each installation is constantly evolving, never appearing the same way twice.
- Ice bumper cars — Guests can experience the thrill of zooming around on ice, sliding, spinning and bumping with friends and family.

Tickets for Christmas at Gaylord and I Love Christmas Movies can be purchased here. Advance online reservations are required for all ticketed events.
A basic ticket to I Love Christmas Movies will cost you $24.99 for adults and $13.99 for children. However, you save 20% to 40% by purchasing a bundle of three or more activities.
Also, if you buy a package, you can save up to 40% on self-parking at the resort. it’s normally $8 for up to 4 hours and $18 for 4 to 8 hours. Pre-pay when buying your bundle and spend about $6.40 for the entire day.
