Announced yesterday, the keyword was BOORITO. However, all of the offers appear to have already been claimed. Chipotle has not made any announcements regarding the availability of codes, including whether or not new codes will be available. In 2000, Chipotle Mexican Grill first celebrated Boorito with a burrito-themed costume contest at its restaurants on Halloween night. In the following years, customers who showed up dressed in any costume on October 31 received a discounted entrée. And, now, it has become one of the most popular annual Halloween giveaways for hungry ghosts and goblins everywhere.
Well, as we all know, Halloween is definitely going to look different this year and, as a result, the chain’s Boorito is going entirely digital for the first time.
With many spooky traditions being disrupted, Chipotle is bringing back Boorito for its 20th anniversary and giving fans a chance to virtually trick-or-treat for half a million buy-one-get-one FREE entrée codes via text. Each code is valued up to $10.
A total of 500,000 one-time-use codes will be dropped via TikTok, Twitter and Instagram from October 29 to 31.
To claim one of the codes, you will have to act fast and text the valid keyword to 888-222, before they’re all gone.
The codes can only be redeemed on Halloween, October 31 via the Chipotle app or Chipotle.com. (Be warned, with similar giveaways in the past, the codes “disappear” extremely fast.)
Follow Chipotle on TikTok, Twitter and Instagram for more updates, including the yet-to-be-announced required valid keyword.
