Amidst the myriad of Oktoberfests being celebrated in America during the months of September and October, German American Day (Deutscher Tag) honors German-speaking immigrants for contributions they have made to our country and communities. German Day Colorado is Saturday, September 5 (noon to 10 p.m.) and Sunday, September 6 (11 a.m. to 5 p.m.) at Centennial Center Park. The event features live bands, folk dance performances, food, and of course, the German beverage of choice, Warsteiner Beer. Children will also enjoy a variety of activities and games. Admission is $10 for adults and includes your first beverage. Children under 12 get in FREE. 13050 E. Peakview Ave., Centennial.
