Getting kiddos to read is always a challenge and the Denver Broncos want to help. Miles the Mascot invites all elementary-school age children to score prizes by joining the 2020 Broncos Bookworms Summer Reading Program. This year’s program runs now through August 24. Here’s how it works:
Kids are asked to read ten (10) books of their choice over the course of the summer and note each one they finish in a special Playbook filled with reading activities, illustrations and encouragement to keep them motivated. You’ll find a downloadable Playbook here.
Those that finish the challenge are recognized as official Broncos Bookworms and receive rewards including a certificate of achievement, bookmark, invitation to a special Bookworms event at Empower Field at Mile High and the chance to win other cool Broncos prizes.
Parents can help by:
1. Assisting your reader in selecting their ten (10) books
2. Signing off on their reading log
3. Helping your reader turn in their log using one of the following methods:
4. Scan and email to: BroncosBookworms@Broncos.nfl.net or mail to Denver Broncos, Marketing, 1701 Bryant St., Suite 900, Denver, CO 80204.
In addition to the reading program, the Broncos are sponsoring a Kids Fitness Program. Download a Fitness Log — at the bottom of the Bookworms page, note daily physical activity (activity and duration) and send that in as well. Kids who send in their fitness logs get the chance to win additional prizes.
