Whether you like your coffee black or full of cream & sugar, this celebration is definitely for coffee lovers of all kinds. Since 1965, Denver’s very own Boyer’s Coffee has been roasting coffee beans from around the world. The company is celebrating 53 years of serving up one of the world’s most popular beverages by hosting a Free Coffee Party on Friday, September 28 — National Coffee Day is the following day on September 29, by no coincidence.
The open block-style party is from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Boyer’s Coffee Café front parking lot (7295 Washington St.) in Denver.
The much buzzed about event (thanks to caffeine!) will feature FREE drip coffee all day, 50% off specialty coffee beverages, 25% off all bags of Luna Gourmet coffee brands (including Boyer’s, Boca Java, Boulder Organic and Luna Roasters), food trucks, prize giveaways, live entertainment and more.
Here’s the schedule of events:
7 a.m. – Open for FREE coffee
7 a.m. to 3 p.m. – Breakfast chicken and waffles courtesy of Pink Tank food truck
8 a.m. to 9 a.m. – Meet-and-greet with former Denver Bronco Mark Jackson
9 a.m. to 11 a.m. – Music from Robby Wicks
11 a.m. to 3 p.m. – Lunch from Knock On Wood Smokehouse and Teal Tacos
Noon to 3 p.m. – Music from Bossy and the Bootleggers
Additionally, Boyer’s will host a “reverse food truck” with the help of Thrivent Financial, collecting non-perishable food items on behalf of the Denver Rescue Mission (such as canned fruit and vegetables, stuffing mix, dry rice and pinto beans) with the goal of filling an entire delivery truck.
Several of Luna Gourmet Coffee & Tea Company’s philanthropic partners will attend the event, including Project CURE, the USO, the Denver Rescue Mission, Community Uplift Partnership and the Adams County Sheriff’s Department.
