New Belgium Brewing is bringing its beer-toting, film-traveling, nonprofit-benefiting show to Boulder. Now in its 7th year, the Clips, Beer and Film Tour returns on Friday, July 8 at Valmont Disc Golf Park. The fun gets started at 7:30 p.m., with the film clips rolling at 9:30 p.m. (In years past, the event raised more than $10,000 for Community Cycles, which is its non-profit partner again this year. All of the proceeds from beer sales will be given to the organization.) The event offers a venue where fans can try New Belgium’s most esoteric beer offerings, while enjoying short films created by select filmmakers. Many of New Belgium’s Lips of Faith beers can be hard to come by, so this is the perfect opportunity to try them — 11 varieties from Lips of Faith to brewery classics will be on tap. Admission is FREE, with beer for $1.50 (3-oz.) and $6 (12-oz.) There are a few tips from the organizers: Food is welcome (no outside alcohol), bring low chairs (or lounge on the grass), families are welcome, dogs on a leash only and bring an I.D. (if you plan to sample beers.) Plus, don’t forget to bring a water bottle — look for tall blue signs and stay hydrated with FREE water. Organizers ask attendees to walk, ride your bike, carpool or take public transportation, if possible. The tour also make a stop in Colorado Springs on July 21.
