Grab a FREE bike from the Golden Bike Library beginning Thursday, April 18 and enjoy a pedal along the town’s bike paths, including those along Clear Creek and quiet lanes. The library offers bikes for both adults and children. Jamis and Explorer 2 bikes are available for adults. For young bikers, Laser 20 bikes are available — a lightweight and durable aluminum model with a coaster brake and rear V-brake, ideal for small children.
Bikes can be checked out Thursday through Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The first two hours are FREE. For longer rides, pay just $10 per day. A convenient key-drop box is available for returning bikes after hours.
Each rider is required to sign a waiver. (Those under 18 must have a parent signature.) A valid ID and credit card is also required for rentals.

The bike library is located at the Visitors Center at 1010 Washington Ave. in Golden.
