Bombay Clay Oven has been around Cherry Creek North for so long (almost 20 years) that people forget it’s there. But for those who delight in authentic, fresh Indian food, it is worth remembering. And after a recent meal there, we learned there are two ways to save serious bucks. First, the restaurant dishes up an all-you-can-eat lunch buffet every day from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Cost is just $9.99 and the selection extensive so you can dig into a variety of Northern and Southern Indian dishes. Second, you can drop in during Happy Hour daily from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. when all small plates and appetizers are half-price. Most run $6.50 to $8.50 each, so with the 50% discount, you can make a real meal out of them. Maybe try Samosas, Kabab Roti Rolls and Masala Dosa (South Indian rice crepes stuffed with diced potatoes). Or dig into a meat or vegetarian sampler. Open 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Sunday to Thursday, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday & Saturday. 165 Steele St., Denver, 303-377-4454.
