Recently we added three new “user-generated” event calendars covering Denver-Boulder (and the entire Front Range).
They are for Happy Hours, Fundraisers and Art Exhibitions/Openings (galleries or museums). All three are are popular events where we couldn’t keep up and would be overwhelmed if we added to our regular events calendar. And, we don’t have to write a stand-alone post or worry about price point.
To add your fundraiser, art exhibit or happy hour:
Go to the specific calendar…
Click on “Add Event” (to the right at the top of the calendar). If you haven’t submitted before, a short, free registration is required.
Then fill in the blanks with your event specifics.
You also can add an image. I suggest something rectangular or square and not too wide. Don’t panic if you don’t have an image, choose one from our media library.
Adding your event is totally FREE.
If you want some extra exposure, you will see some options for highlighting and/or featuring your listing for an additional fee. You can even sponsor the calendar with an ad right at the top.
If you aren’t interested in boosting your item and just want it submitted for consideration, after filling out the required fields you’ll be taken to the “Promote” page. It shows you a bunch of options. Where it says “No thanks, Just Post My Event For Free”, check that box.
Note that it may take up to six hours to approve your event, so please be patient with us.
I encourage you to add your fundraisers, happy hours and art exhibits. Please also feel free to share the links with colleagues and others and encourage them to add their own events.
We plan to promote these pages as we encourage our 17,000+ readers to upload their events and also spread the word.
