Mayor Hancock recently proclaimed October 14 “Breakfast Burrito Day” and it’s quickly becoming Denver’s new favorite holiday. It just seems breakfast burritos are the perfect morning meal — delicious and easy to grab on-the-go. To celebrate the first-ever “holiday”, three local Mexican restaurants are celebrating the day with hot deals. The choices may be limited, so ask first before ordering. The deals are valid on Saturday, October 14, while supplies last.
Asada Rico Mexican Grill — The food cart (at Stout St. & 16th St.) normally closed on Saturdays is opening just for the special day. They’re offering a breakfast burrito for 99¢. (In case you didn’t know, the grill was the winner in The Denver Post‘s recent Breakfast Burrito Bracket competition.)
Illegal Pete’s — The popular local restaurant and bar is offering the best deal — FREE! Get a breakfast burrito for FREE from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. — no strings attached. The offer is valid at all locations, except for The Hill in Boulder. (The restaurant’s burritos were even featured on The Travel Channel — click here.)
Santiago’s — To honor the day, the Mexican restaurant is rolling back its prices to back when it first opened in 1990. Get a breakfast burrito for $1.25. With a limit of five per person, you can pick up extra for friends, family or co-workers.
Kachina Southwestern Grill— The LoDo hotspot is serving $1 burritos between 7 a.m. and 10 a.m. from the super-cool Airstream located inside the restaurant at 1890 Wazee St., Denver.
Dad & Dude’s Breweria — Celebrates with bargain beverages to accompany their burritos — $3 bloody Marys, bottomless mimosas and beermosas, plus a FREE pint card for 21+ customers. 6730 Cornerstar Way, Aurora.
Resolute Brewing Company — Hosts Ol’ Skool Que, a dandy food truck serving breakfast burritos from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Buy a burrito and receive $1 off pours all day long. 7286 S. Yosemite, Centennial, 720-722-1238.
