Seventy-six trombones and the rest of the Colorado Symphony Orchestra will be marching in full force for The Music Man in Concert at Boettcher Concert Hall on Saturday & Sunday, September 26 & 27. The timeless story of con man Harold Hill wooing Marian the Librarian features such showstoppers as “Ya Got Trouble,” “The Wells Fargo Wagon,” and the signature “76 Trombones.” Hear this classic score the way the composer Meredith Wilson intended it – with a full symphony orchestra accompanied by an amazing cast of local and national singers and actors. Tickets range from $29 to $89 (kids seats start at $10), but we found two ways to save. 1. Buy direct online from the CSO (either Saturday at 7:30 p.m. or Sunday at 1 p.m.) and use the promo code RIVERCITY to get two tickets for the price of one (buy one, get one FREE). Note that tickets are subject to a 10% seat tax and handling fee. You may want to order on the phone by calling the Box Office at 303-623-7876 as they can calculate your cost quickly. This deal is only good through August 18. 2. Buy through Goldstar which has tickets to the Sunday concert for $28.05 (Mezzanine 4) to $36.05 (Mezzanine 7), plus a service fee of $6.25 to $7.25 depending on base ticket price. We tried to do the math on this one and it is a toss-up on final price depending on where you want to sit.
