Two dazzling gem and mineral shows are coming to town. The enormous Denver Coliseum Mineral, Fossil and Gem Show (and sale) features fine mineral specimens, agates, fossils, meteorites, gems, hand-made jewelry, crystals, metaphysical, gold, silver, copper, decorative items, Native American items.
These include amber with insect inclusions, turquoise, rubies, emeralds, beads, petrified wood and artisan jewelry boxes, plus rough minerals, tools and supplies for hobbyists who cut and polish their own.
This show, now the largest in the country, features 500 vendors in both the Denver Coliseum and adjacent National Western Complex. It takes place from Friday, September 6 through Sunday, September 15 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. every day. Admission and parking are FREE.
There are 4 distinct shows here, each with a different focus:
Denver Coliseum Show (fossils, minerals, gems & jewelry)
Denver Expo Gem Show (primarily large volume wholesale)
Denver Mineral Show (an intimate space limited to better minerals and gems)
Miner’s Co-Op Show (direct from the miner/prospector).
It overlaps with the Denver Fine Mineral Show from Wednesday, September 11 through Saturday, September 14 with more than 50 dealers showing minerals, gemstones, photography, lapidary equipment and more.
Hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday. Admission and parking are also FREE at this show and sale that takes place at the Denver Marriott West, 1717 Denver West Blvd. (Exit 263 off I-70), Golden.
