Safeway Switches From Blockbuster to Redbox

We’re seeing red with this change at Safeway. If you’ve ever driven from Redbox to Redbox looking for a particular movie, your options just got better. Safeway recently made the switch from Blockbuster Express kiosks to Redbox. We couldn’t confirm exactly why, but you can bet customers must have expressed a preference. We like Redbox because it’s cheap and because you can return your rental at any Redbox location. (With Blockbuster Express, you had to return your rental to the same location.) Although most Safeway locations now have Redbox, not every location does — so check first, before wasting your gas and time. Plus, remember, you can get a FREE rental (or two) every month with Redbox by signing up for text messages.
