Kmart at 363 S. Broadway will shutter its doors on Sunday, March 26. Currently, the store hours are 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. every day. Through Tuesday, March 21 everything is 25% to 70% off. Wednesday & Thursday, everything is 30% to 75% off. Friday & Saturday everything is 40% to 80% off. And on Sunday, everything is priced to sell to the bare walls. No word on how much stock remains.
This is such a shame. For those of us who cannot travel to the way nether suburbs, Kmart was a great place to get just about anything at an affordable price. Now they are joining Sears in abandoning the low-to-middle income workers who live in the city. (I guess I better get in there to stock-up on my Chic pull-up granny jeans.)
