If you need to pick-up your lunch on-the-go, here’s a meal deal packed with lots of options. For a limited time, create your own custom brown bag lunch at Starbucks for a great price. Choose a lunch item, snack, fruit item and bottled water — all for just $8. Choose from: a sandwich, panini, salad bowl, wrap or bistro box, a snack item (potato chips, popcorn or pretzels, priced $1.95 or less), a fruit item (fresh banana or That’s It fruit bar) and a bottle of Ethos water. Given some of the sandwiches and salads can cost about $7, the meal deal offers quite the savings. No substitutions allowed. The package is available at participating cafés all day, while supplies last. All of the items must be purchased in a single transaction. (If you’re unsure of what items qualify for the deal, ask a barista before making the purchase.)
Through Sunday, January 22, upgrade your combo — instead of a bottled water, choose an Evolution Fresh green juice. The savings really get juiced because of the limited-time option, given the juice costs about $6. If you choose the juice as part of the combo, the overall is savings is about 50%.
If you avoid certain coffee cafés because they’re “too expensive”, you might consider McDonald’s for your caffeinated needs. For a limited time, the fast-food chain is offering any size coffee for $1 or, if your tastes are a bit fancier, get a small specialty drink for $2. The offer is valid at participating locations.
Did you know January 17 is National Ditch New Year’s Resolution Day? BurgerFi is celebrating the occasion by offering its Breakfast All Day Burger for just $5 (regularly between $8 to $10) — featuring a Natural Angus burger patty, American cheese, bacon, maple syrup, fried egg, hash brown, grilled onions and ketchup. The offer is only valid on Tuesday, January 17, in-store-only. You must mention the offer at the counter. There are no substitutions and the promo cannot be combined with any other offer. Right now, there is only one location in Colorado — 1147 Broadway in Denver. They’re open Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
This deal from Burger King is hot…or very cool, depending on your tastes. For a limited time, get any size coffee for just 99¢ — hot or iced. Anytime I see an offer for “any size”, I always think it’s best to get the large for maximum savings. However, it’s not wise, if you’re just going to waste it. On the other hand, ask for an extra cup and pour half of it for a friend or family member. The offer is only valid at participating locations.
Wendy’s is changing the game, when it comes to meal deals — thanks to the sandwich options available to hungry bargain hunters. For a limited time, the quick-service chain is offering a 4 for $4 Meal. Get a Jr. Bacon Cheeseburger, Crispy Chicken BLT or Double Stack, 4 chicken nuggets, small fries and small drink at an affordable price — just $4. In my book, any meal deal under $5 with a beverage is always a great value. Plus, unlike other chains, Wendy’s gives you more than one option for the sandwich. (I would also like the option of a small chili rather than the nuggets and fries. Just sayin’. Maybe one day?)
Remember Pizza Hut‘s wildly popular $10 pizza deal? Well, it’s back, but for a limited time. For $10, get a large pizza with any toppings at participating locations. Choose from more than a dozen toppings. Plus, choose any crust — Original Pan, Hand-Tossed or Thin ‘N Crispy. (Note: There is an additional charge for Stuffed Crust or extra cheese.) With no limit, it’s a good excuse for a pizza party at work or home. The offer is good for carry-out only. No matter how you slice it, it’s a great deal — especially if you love lots of toppings on your pizza.
Do you like dining at restaurants? How would you like to get paid to eat? This is no scam. Food & Drink Resources (FDR) opened its Denver focus group facility in 2014. Now they’ve created the FDR Innovation Center, a new and fully-equipped space where food, beverage and restaurant clients can test new concepts, recipes and products. The company hosts focus groups and taste tests regularly and is looking for locals who love to eat and share their thoughts. Consumer research projects pay pretty well — between $50 and $250 depending on the type of study and time commitment. It’s FREE to sign up. Do so here. After signing up, FDR will be in touch soon to inquire about your food and dining preferences and your availability for participating. Just so you know, the facility is located in Centennial, just off of Arapahoe Rd. and Havana St. There’s plenty of free parking and it is close to several bus stops.
The best way to start your day is with savings! Every Wednesday in January, Chick-fil-A is serving up a FREE breakfast entrée from 6 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at participating locations in the Denver metro area. Mark your calendar (or set reminders on your smartphone) for January 4, 11, 18 and 25. On Wednesdays, each location will offer a FREE breakfast entrée “of the restaurant’s choice” — no purchase necessary. As a result, the item will vary by location each week. The morning freebie is valid in-restaurant and at the drive-thru. Limit one per person, per visit. There are more than 20 locations in the Denver metro area.
Little Caesars always offers a great value, but it’s now making it even more tasty for bargain hunters. The ready-to-go pizza chain is offering 5 items for $5 each. For $5, get a large Hot ‘n Ready classic pizza, Caesar Wings, four 20-oz. Pepsi products, family-size Cinnamon Loaded Crazy Bites or family-size Bacon Cheddar Loaded Crazy Bites. All of the items are available from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. daily at participating locations, for a limited time. No need to call ahead, no need to wait and no limit. However, the discounted items are available all day, every day by request.
We’ve seen this promo at only one Pizza Hut location, but, if you work or live nearby, it’s a great deal. The Golden location at 17540 S. Golden Rd. serves up a lunch buffet Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. for just $6.99. (Yes, the price went up by a few bucks, but it’s still a bargain.) The all-you-can-eat spread includes salad, pizza, pasta and dessert. (Unfortunately, no drink is included. True cheapskates will stick with water. It’s better for you anyway, right?) Don’t overindulge. You don’t want to leave feeling stuffed, even if it is a bargain buffet. In any case, you’ll definitely get your money’s worth in just a few trips to the buffet bar. Reader Morgen tells me that the same offer is also available at 12947 S. Parker Rd. in Parker.
Double down on this deal from Taco Bell. For a limited time, get a Double Stacked Taco for just $1 at participating locations. Choose from Nacho Crunch, Cool Habanero and Spicy Sweet. Why double stacked? It’s made with a tortilla and crunchy shell, as the “outer wrap” with sauce in between. If you’re really hungry, add some food from its Dollar Cravings menu for a big meal without a big price.
If you’re a chocolate connoisseur (or, at least, chocolate lover and who isn’t?), you’re aware that GODIVA chocolates are some of the finest. (Each piece is just so beautiful and perfect.) Four dollars seems to be the magical price point for meal deals across the fast-food landscape, lucky for hungry bargain hunters. Carl’s Jr. continues to offer its $4 Real Deal meal. For $4, get a double cheeseburger, spicy chicken sandwich, small fries and 16-oz. drink — for a limited time at participating locations.
Dunkin’ Donuts keeps servin’ up the deals lately. Here’s the latest: For a limited time, get a medium iced coffee for 99¢. (Cold brew excluded.) Choose from a variety of coffees from its menu. With no limit, grab a few discounted drinks for co-workers or friends. The jolt of savings is available at participating locations.
