“A History of the Visual Arts in Boulder” is a FREE 50-event retrospective of the visual, cinematic, digital media and performance arts that kicks off on Thursday, September 29 with an opening reception and concludes on Sunday, January 15. Click here for a calendar. Organizers have identified some 300 artists who have contributed so much to Boulder’s vibrant creative life. Venues include Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art; Boulder Public Library; Canyon Gallery at the Boulder Public Library; Dairy Arts Center; First Congregational Church Gallery; First United Methodist Sanctuary Gallery; Highland City Club; Macky Auditorium; Mercury Framing; Mr. Pool Gallery; Naropa University; NCAR; Rembrandt Yard; Pine Street Church; Boulder Creative Collective; Longmont’s Firehouse Art Center, and CU Art Museum.
