Due to weather, the first screening on June 30 was rescheduled for July 7. Pack your bags for this new film series — not with clothes, but with snacks! Alamo Drafthouse Cinema and Denver International Airport are teaming up to bring “Film on the Fly” to the airport. On Thursday, July 7, the movie series takes off with Top Gun at sunset. The event is FREE and open to the public. The fun-filled evening will take place at the new open-air plaza, connecting the Jeppesen terminal with the Westin Denver International Airport. New Sensation ‘80s tribute band will perform at 5 p.m. The Alamo will be giving away FREE food vouchers to the first 100 people for BBQ and a snow cone. Plus, there will be other giveaways, including Top Gun-style aviator sunglasses and movie prizes. In addition to a cash bar, food will be available for purchase.
The series continues down the runway with E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial on August 18. Titles will be announced at later date for the final two screenings on October 20 and December 15. The series may be FREE, but what about parking? Parking at DIA ranges from $8 to $24. The University of Colorado A-Line train is $9 round trip from Union Station.
