Denver Animal Care and Control (the city’s animal shelter) offers discounted vaccination days every Wednesday and Thursday. Vaccinations (including rabies and distemper/parvo) cost $20. Be sure to bring Fido or Fluffy on the correct day. Dogs are vaccinated on Wednesday from 2:30 p.m. to 4:45 p.m. Cats on Thursday from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. While the clinic is open to everyone, residents of the city and county of Denver also receive a FREE dog or cat license. Puppies and kittens under three months only receive the distemper/parvo or feline distemper vaccination. But you can bring them back in for the additional rabies shot when they are old enough.
